Have you ever wished that a conversation at English-Please! could continue after the lesson was over? Or have you had questions after class but forgotten to ask them when you attend your next lesson? This month’s pro tip: Make use of the comments section.
When a teacher comments on one of your compositions, feel free to respond to that with another comment. You can do this to keep the conversation going once the class has finished if you found the topic interesting. Try it out with your next composition and see how long you can keep the conversation going!
You can also do this to ask questions about vocabulary, grammar, or anything else that comes to mind. Some suggestions include:
- Maybe you were too shy to ask the question in class for some reason – use the comments section!
- Maybe the question didn’t occur to you until after the class finished – use the comments section!
- Maybe you have a follow-up question to something the teacher said during corrective feedback – use the comments section!
Don’t forget that you can comment on teachers’ compositions too. This includes but is not limited to your regular teacher; you can comment on any composition submitted by any of the other teachers at any time you like! This is a great way to continue engaging with your teachers and practicing English when you aren’t at EP!
So don’t be shy! Reply to comments from your teacher when you receive them. Even better, submit comments of your own on our compositions. We’d love to hear from you!

English-Please! での会話が、レッスン終了後にも続けられたらと思ったことはありませんか？あるいは、レッスン後に質問があったのに、次のレッスンに参加するときに質問するのを忘れてしまったことはありませんか？
今月のアドバイス：コメント欄を活用しましょう。
先生があなたの作文にコメントしてくれたら、それに対して遠慮なく別のコメントで返してください。話題が面白かったら、授業が終わってからも会話を続けることができます。次の作文では、どれだけ会話を続けられるか試してみてください。
また、語彙や文法の質問や、その他何でも気になったことは質問してみてください。先生からの提案はこちらです：
- 何らかの理由でクラスで質問するのが恥ずかしかった方 – – – コメント欄を使いましょう！
- 授業が終わってから質問が思い浮かんだ方- – – コメント欄を使いましょう！
- 先生からの添削に対して、さらに質問がある場合- – – コメント欄を使いましょう！
先生の作文にもコメントできることを忘れてはいけません。ご自身のクラスの先生だけでなく、他の先生方の作文にもコメントすることができます。これは、EPにいなくても、先生との交流を続け、英語を練習するための素晴らしい方法です。
だから、恥ずかしがらないでください。先生からコメントをもらったら、気軽に返信しましょう。先生の作文を読んだら、コメントをつけましょう。皆さんからのたくさんのコメントをお待ちしています。
